She has worked at the Kent Oncology Centre since 2004 working at Maidstone Hospital where she is SACT Alliance lead for the Kent & Medway area. She is research lead for breast cancer and has been UK CI for several clinical trials eg PALOMA-2 and HeredERA.
Her main research interest is in lifestyle interventions in breast cancer and as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Kent has conducted research into exercise in advanced breast cancer with the School of Exercise and Sports Science. She is Co-Chair of the NCRI Lifestyle and Breast Cancer Research Group.
She is involved in clinical teaching as an educational supervisor and was a member of the Specialist Training Committee at the Royal College of Physicians, producing the National Chemotherapy Competency document for use across all specialties.
She was a member of the NHSE clinical advisory group representing breast cancer until 2022 and is currently Co-Chair of the UK Breast Cancer Group (UKBCG).
