He trained in medicine at the University of Bristol. He was awarded a MD (Res) from University College London in 2010. In 2012 he was appointed as consultant in medical oncology at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. He works in Wrexham Maelor Hospital and Glan Clwyd Hospital. He specialises in breast cancer and cancer of the upper gastrointestinal tract. He is a principal investigator for several phase 3 clinical trials. He is a Designated Supervising Medical Practitioner (DSMP) for oncology nurses undertaking the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
